Wednesday tutoring and test policy.

We will go over the Chapter 1 test and open response in 8th  grade science class tomorrow.  If your child is not satisfied with their test grade they may retake the test next Wednesday after school.   I will average the old and new test.  This will be announced tomorrow. 

I am available every Wednesday after school until 4:15, to help students.  If your child is absent or doesn't understand something they can stay after and receive help.  This is also the time I will schedule test retakes as previously mentioned.

First two weeks of school Completed!!!!! Some missing assignments.

     We are settling into our routine now, and most everyone has the hang of it.   There are some students who are having difficulty turning in homework on time.  They may turn it in the next day, but then it is only for 1/2 credit.  This weekend I'm finishing up grading test, open response and late homework.  On Monday I'll be printing out missing assignment reports and sending them home to be signed.  I will also call the parents of students who are receiving these to let them know that they are on the way.  Hopefully we can get these students organized and late homework will not be a problem anymore.  Have a great weekend!!

Tardies and Late Work

Everyone appears to be getting to class on time now. Good Job!!
We are having a problem with late work, use your agenda.  If you don't have one its an excellent way to keep up with assignments.

First Week of School

The first week of school is almost over, and everyone appears to be settling in.  Please remember that on Monday of next week, the late work policy and tardy policy will begin.  Have a good weekend

School Supplies

I hope everyone had a wonderful first day of school.  Please try to have the supplies listed on the class syllabus in class by at least Wednesday, August 10th.  We will need them on that day.  If you have trouble finding any of the supplies please let me know and I'll help you.
